Description
This charming heirloom is the oldest American lettuce still in cultivation, and there’s a reason it has been winning people over for nearly 200 years. The seeds mature quickly, producing an adorable pint-sized head of buttery soft lettuce within a relatively short period of time. And because Tom Thumb lettuce is easy to grow and tolerant of both heat and frost, it’s an excellent variety to plant with kids.
