Organic Candy Cane Beet Seeds

Known for their unique and striking candy-stripe interior (think vibrant peppermint candies) these farmers market favorites have a sweet, mild flavor. An heirloom variety from Italy, the Guardsmark strain was developed to be more resilient and uniform than standard Chioggia beets. If you’re planning to grow beets, this variety is hard to beat.  

• Organic, heirloom and non-GMO seeds 
• Plant directly in garden soil in full sun, during spring through early fall 
• Beets will have the best flavor and texture when grown in cooler weather 
• Matures in 55 days 
• For a continuous harvest, sow every 2-3 weeks  
• Check on beets often and harvest as soon as they stop increasing in size 
• Eat the greens too! Can be steamed and served with butter
