While, our bagels didn't turn out as amazingly as the Bagel Store's (rest in peace) in Williamsburg Brooklyn. We gave it the old college try. I gave 5 stars because the kit is fairly easy to follow and fun. However, I have no idea HOW anyone could get a dozen bagels out of this kit. As beginners we achieved 9, with 4 thick enough to resemble more of that classic NY Bagel size.

a huge hit! I made these with a group of 8 grandchildren aged 4 to 12. They took the whole process very seriously - like a science experiment! - and then were delighted at how beautifully the bagels tuned out. Amazing vibrant colors. One suggestion I would make is to make sure the bagels are fat enough so that there is some chewy stuff in them! Several of ours were made with thin braids. Pretty, but crunchy!
